		<description>Great article and right on point.  I might add that the investigator licensing laws were enforced in Michigan and other states before any of the additional wording was done.

So many computer forensics investigators just entered into the field without checking for licensing requirements, kind of like an attorney going to law school without checking the licensing laws and expecting to practice law because he went to school.  Even a beautician has to be licensed.....can&#039;t figure out why computer forensics investigators believed they were exempt. 

I suggest that many computer forensics folks just can&#039;t meet the licensing requirements, including the criminal background check, and just ignored the law.  Many have been caught.</description>
